Workshops at the Royal Canadian Legion (199 Queen Street)
(#1) 10:00am-11:00am: Add sprinkles to your vanilla! (Basics are the key!): Vanilla ice cream is fantastic, just as a strong basic swing rhythm. Let’s use our basics to spice up our dancing!
(#2) 11:15am-12:15pm: Rolls, swirls and twirls (Add spins to your dancing!) : Master the art of spinning and learn to add it to your dance. Find ways to incorporate it into your partner dancing!
(#3) 1:45pm-2:45pm: Add gummy bears to your sundae! (Where solo and partnered dancing meet!): Jazz steps are like sweet sweet candies. Lindy hop is a delightful ice cream sundae. Let’s make those two worlds meet! Add some jazz to your lindy hop!
(#4) 3:00pm-4:00pm: Flavor is everything! (To connect or to not connect?) : There are as many ways of connecting with your partner as there are flavors of ice cream. Together we’ll find multiple ways to connect with your partner in different situations.

Join us for a full day of workshops taught by the lovely Lunou & Jonathan from Montreal!! 🙂
Lunou is a dynamic follower from Montreal and Quebec city. Swing dancing since 2003, she developed her own style, bringing positive energy to the dance floor. Teacher by profession, she loves to help dancers find their way and grow in this dance. Generous and devoted, she is sharing her passion by performing and teaching across North America. She’s also been one of the main teachers at Cat’s Corner in Montreal since 2011. She’s also been competing across North America, placing and winning in events such as American Lindy Hop Championships, International Lindy Hop Championships, Camp Jitterbug, the Boston Tea Party and the Canadian Swing Championships.
Jonathan is a one of a kind dancer. He loves jazz more than anything and you can see it when he dances; his body seems to embody the music as he hears it. He has been traveling across North America as a student, a competitor, a teacher and a DJ. He loves to teach dance and see the dancers experiment and grow as the classes go on.
Together, Lunou and Jonathan are a very creative duo. They teach together at Cat’s Corner in Montreal and have been life and dance partners for 7 years. They have been traveling to share their passion of the dance while teaching in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Boston, Providence and Ithaca. They are also members of the Northern Lights Dance Crew. They share a lot of values and ideas and have a strong dedication for the dance communities, locally and internationally.
We can’t wait for them to come teach us in Fredericton! 🙂
